Based in Helsinki, Finland and a graduate of the Sibelius Academy, singer Emma Raunio writes and produces electronic music which is centered around her vocals and influenced by a wide array of genres.

“I am always inspired by how darkness and light, difficulties and ease as well as grief and joy can co-exist right next to each other, regardless of time and age. This seems to be something that’s often reflected in the music I make. Both when it comes to the songwriting and the lyrics, I always aspire to describe the contact, dialogue and conflicts between our inner and outer worlds. This, especially when paired with the human voice, is an endless source of inspiration for me.

I hope that my listeners can recognize something of themselves in these songs and thoughts. My ambition is to use music as a means to paint a sort of landscape that the listener can connect to, but that also has something brand new to discover.”
